One Direction is going on break. The British boy branders have announced that after they release their fifth record in December, and promote it until February, they will go their separate ways for a year, according to British publication The Sun.
That’s going to be a long, lonely 12 months for some of us. Well, not me. But for some people.
The band, along with its heir-apparent, 5 Seconds of Summer, are both scheduled to play radio station KMVQ-FM 99.7 (NOW)’s annual Triple Ho holiday show Dec,. 2 at the SAP Center in San Jose.
The big 1D news comes five months after Zayn Malik left the band to do his own thing and be out of the public eye for a while.
The Sun reported Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan will do solo projects and get back together after that long, terrible, empty year for fans, who have taken to the Internet to express their pain.
“The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boy band,” a source told The Sun. “They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 percent behind the decision. It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future.”
Of course they do.
