1. John Lennon
Originally with The Beatles, John Lennon went on to become one of the most influential musicians of his time. He wrote and sang many famous songs such as “Give Peace a Chance,” “Imagine,” and “Band on the Run.” He was also a father of two sons, Julien and Sean. On December 7th, 1981 he was shot while standing in front of his home.
2. Elvis Presley
Elvis was a excellent musician who released tonnes of fantastic albums and movies. He was famous all around Las Vegas, and performed in a multitude of shows during the 1960′s. Elvis was found dead, naked on his toilet from an apparent overdose. He dies from taking too many anti-anxiety pills, painkillers and sleeping pills.
3. Freddie Mercury
Asian-born lead singer of Queen, one of the greatest bands of our time. He was a man who dressed as a woman some times and painted his face with psychedelic colors. His songs like “We Are the Champions,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and “Changes” are still heard today. Mercury died at the age of 44 from HIV.
4. Kurt Cobain
One of the most tragic on the list, Cobain was the lead singer and guitarist of the band Nirvana. He is often hailed as the grandfather of grunge. His death is a bit of a mystery. Some say he committed suicide, others say he was shot to death by an unknown assailant. Some say that his girlfriend shot him over fear of a lawsuit, and to rise higher in fame with her own band. She is still alive to this day.
5. John Denver
Considered one of the greatest folk singers in American history, Denver wrote famous songs such as “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” “This Land is Your Land,” and “Rocky Mountain High.” Denver actually died on a plane crossing the Atlantic Ocean with his girlfriend.
